Detritus

7'" x 10" pencil on watercolor paper

I consider drawings like these stacking blocks. I just keep them around and work on them whenever, they are never really finished I just get tired of working on them or I forget they exist and they end up in a pile somewhere. No themes no ideas just randomness and visual problem solving, little exercises really. Just found this one the other day. I think the scan shows too much of the texture from the paper it's much more subtle in person.

Dig the organic/mechanic growth and griding and of course, the details and your style.

I really like the action here! Contrast is great. I esp like the floating guy near the bottom left...

always coming through with the detail shots! Good call so my lazy ass doesnt have to track it down on flickr or something. Sometimes the work you care the least about turns out the best, free unrestricted creativity, failure being acceptable. But they're hardly ever a total failure and usually develop some pretty hard ideas, atleast for me.
