this pic is popping the bubble surrounding my childhood disney memories.
disney kinda blows anyways...in the past it was far too racist and weird for a childs consumption
but at the time, i didn't notice those things! it's all just sunshine and rainbows, hello!
but, the funny thing IS ..its not really sunny at all, alotta those old cartoons did alot to reinforce negative stereotypes and promote racist thinking well into the second half of the twentieth century...not tryin to burst anyone's bubble but,the truth is the truth, i was always very confused (and unknowingly damaged)by disneys depiction of blacks...
yep, i agree. but when i was 5 i didn't get that. :) ahhh sweet innocence... and ignorance.
yea, i didnt get that at 5 either, but now im 35 so i no longer get to be ignorant...
